The Dream Dectective Blog: Energy Experiments

By Mimi Pettibone

I have been practicing Pam Grout’s energy experiments from her book E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality. The premise is that there is an invisible field of energy which we are connected to and interact with, and that our thoughts and beliefs have an effect on this field. Since we are also fields of energy, and what we focus on expands in our consciousness, our thoughts impact our reality.

If you are reading this, chances are likely that you are familiar with the Law of Attraction theory. However as much as we read and watch movies about it, if it remains in the form of theory rather than practice we are not nearly as likely to see results. Pam’s book gives practical, tangible, 48 hour experiments that put the theory into practice and produce results. Anyone can do them--they don’t cost a thing.

One of the 48 hour experiments is to choose some type of sign or signal from the Universe, and ask for it to be revealed within the next 48 hours. This is a way of interacting with the quantum field that provides tangible evidence. On Friday night, I communicated with the field that I would like to see turquoise cars and butterflies as my signs that I am indeed having an interactive relationship with the field. The butterflies could be any color, and knowing that it’s not butterfly season I was open to seeing images of butterflies as well. The next day I was thinking about the experiment when I went on an outing, and within 1 block of walking I saw 2 turquoise cars. When I reached my destination, I saw a friend and her computer had an image of a butterfly on the screen. This all happened within a 10-minute time frame. Oh, I would say it’s working!

Pam also has a new book about gratitude called Thank and Grow Rich. She will be speaking at East West bookshop this Friday evening and teaching a workshop on Saturday. For more info and tickets click here

Tools to Increase Your Intuition by Becky Moore
Tools to Increase Your Intuition by Becky Moore

April 17, 2019

As a tarot reader and intuitive energy healer, I am frequently asked about how I became intuitive. I wish that I could tell you a fun story about how I would talk to dead people when I was young or how I was always able to see people’s auras, but my story is not that exciting. It actually took me many years of learning and deep self-reflection to get to where I am today, to learn to trust my intuition and then open my mouth and tell people what information I was picking up on.

Miten: Deva and I have seen so many people benefited from chanting the mantras... The main thing for Deva and I is that we feel like we move around in our life on the wings of mantras and we really have a mission now to share what we feel to be amazingly precious healing vibrations.

The Truth About White Sage and Palo Santo - by Shae Windsong
The Truth About White Sage and Palo Santo - by Shae Windsong

Recently there has been a lot of buzz on the internet about white sage and palo santo—the two most popular smudging tools. From what I've read online, the majority of arguments say white sage is endangered and it is culturally inappropriate to use. Similarly with palo santo, many people are worried big corporations might be breaking rules by cutting down fresh young palo santo trees vs harvesting from dead fallen down trees (as its traditionally done). Before you jump on the fiery band wagon, its important to know what's really going on behind the scenes and to not get too fired up about passionate opinions on the internet.
