July 19, 2017 - Wednesday, 7-8:30pm - Tostan: Human Rights Education - with Diane Gillespie

Join Seattle Friends of Tostan for a discussion of Aimee Molloy's inspiring However Long the Night: Molly Melching's Journey to Help Millions of African Women and Girls Triumph, a nonprofit that has empowered and transformed hundreds of West African communities.

From Melinda Gates to Hillary Clinton to Marianne Wiliamson, readers have been moved by the ways that Melching's journey allows them to think about their own efforts to care for others and to advocate for democracy, human rights and dignity. How do we persist in the face of adversity, create the conditions for meaningful exchanges, and work from the strengths that exist in all communities? Come with the book and a favorite passage or just come to join in.
