The ingredients used in this sacred blend are a merging of traditional medicinal herbs used in South American and North American Indigenous ceremonies –The condor and eagle.
The use of Sage in ceremony is traditionally used for healing. The smoke is used to bless, cleanse and heal the person or object being smudged. Sage is used to ‘wash off’ the outside world when one enters ceremony or other sacred space. Objects are likewise washed off with sage smoke to rid them of unwanted influences.
Cedar is a great medicine of protection. Cedar is often used to cleanse a home, workspace, or sacred space, when first moving in, inviting unwanted spirits to leave and protecting a person, place or object from unwanted influences. Cedar trees are very old, wise and powerful spirits.
Lavender is an aromatic herb often used in cleansing and smudging ceremonies. It is also used for the invitation of spirits. The name is believed to be derived from the Latin lavare (to wash).
Copal is sacred to the native peoples of Mexico and South America, as it was considered the food of the gods and was burned as an offering to them as it is most pleasing. Copal is a sap, ‘the blood of trees’. It is also used in purification ceremonies.
Mapacho is an Amazonian Tobacco and is considered very sacred by Amazonian shamans. It is employed alone (by tabaqueros) or in combination with other plants in shamanic practices. Some shamans drink the juice of tobacco leaves alone as a source of visions. Mapacho is used extensively in healing practices and for prayer and is considered a medicine. In North American ceremonies it is used as an offering, to lay down prayers and in ceremony.
Palo Santo, “Holy Wood” is traditionally burned in Peruvian ceremonies by Shamans and Medicine people for its energetically cleansing and healing properties. Its scent is uplifting and has the propensity to raise your vibration in preparation for meditation, ceremony and ritual allowing for a deeper connection to Source.
