Health and Wellness Update

Health and Wellness Update

Dear friends,

In light of recent events, we want to inform you that we are working with King County Health Department to establish precautions to keep a safe environment at the bookshop.

Update! (3/13/2020)

March Events Are Cancelled, Store Remains Open!

Thanks for your interest in our event offerings at East West Bookshop! Unfortunately, we are postponing all of our March events, based on guidance from public health officials trying to slow the spread of COVID-19.

If feasible, we are asking presenters to offer their events as tele/video conference so that you can still attend the event from the comfort of your own home. For questions about ticketing, please contact hello@eastwestbookshop.com.

Our store will remain open and now more than ever we need your support! If you can’t come in and shop, please consider donating here.

Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. We look forward to being able to see you at your next visit!

Wishing you calmness, strength, and health,

Bhima Breckenridge

Manager

East West Bookshop

Update! (3/11/2020) We are still keeping normal business hours but many March 2020 events have been postponed, on a case by case basis. We are limiting event attendance to 25 people in our event room to allow for social distancing and also posting these requirements for all event attendees, by order of the Health Department:

What we're doing:

Sick staff members are directed to stay home.
We will be routinely disinfecting all surfaces that come into daily contact.
We will be moving all tissue boxes into the restrooms only to encourage hand washing after use.
Encouraging staff members to wash hands multiple times per day with soap and hot water for 20 seconds minimum.

Here's how you can help:

Stay at home if you're sick.
Wash your hands - we have fully stocked soap dispensers and hot water in all of our restrooms.
Use tissues in the restrooms only; wash your hands after use. Should you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into your shirt sleeve and sanitize after.

We look forward to seeing you!

Blessings,
- Bhima & the East West Staff

Healing Ancestral Karma with the New Moon in Pisces
Healing Ancestral Karma with the New Moon in Pisces

February 25, 2020

A New Moon in Pisces is a fantastic opportunity to heal family “curses”, meaning, the unhealthy way our ancestors dealt with their challenges in life and with each other. This month our theme is about clarity in love. When we take the time to understand what our ancestors believed to be true, and the circumstances they lived in, we can have more compassion around the decisions they made and why.
